Backend Developer

Your Role

As our Backend Developer, you will be the backbone of our platform. You will design, build, and maintain highly scalable and secure APIs, ensuring that our system runs smoothly for thousands (and soon, millions) of users. You’ll work closely with our frontend and product teams to turn ideas into robust, high-performance features.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and develop scalable backend systems and APIs for web and mobile apps.
  • Optimize application performance and ensure system reliability.
  • Manage databases, ensure data integrity, and implement best security practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, design, product) to bring new features to life.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing code.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our development processes.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in backend development.
  • Strong knowledge of Node.js, Python, or similar backend languages.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and ideally GraphQL.
  • Solid understanding of databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or MySQL).
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Good understanding of authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
  • Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • A proactive mindset and ability to work independently.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Previous work in a startup environment.
